1.Face material of pump mechanical seals:
A, Silicon carbide, has low friction coefficient, high hardness and good wear resistance. It has good chemical stability, heat resistance and thermal vibration resistance.
B, The cemented carbide is mainly tungsten carbide, characterized by high hardness, good wear resistance, high mechanical strength and good bending resistance, high thermal conductivity and small expansion coefficient, easy to derive the friction heat of sealing surface, and good corrosion resistance of cobalt free cemented carbide.
2. The seal rings in the pump mechanical seal
The seal rings in the pump mechanical seals are important part to ensure reliable seal and extend service life. The seal rings include the seal rings of the dynamic and static rings. Its function is to ensure the seal between the static ring seat (gland) and the static ring between the shaft and the dynamic ring, to compensate for the deflection and vibration of the sealing surface, and to ensure that the end faces of the dynamic and static rings are closely combined with floating.
The main materials of seal rings:
O-rings, washers and bellows made of rubber materials can be used in general media;
V-rings, wedge-shaped rings, washers and bellows made of polytetrafluoroethylene can be used in corrosive media;
Metal bellows can be used in high and low temperature conditions.
The use temperature and corrosion resistance of materials shall be considered during selection.
