The selection of 4 Inch Split Casing Water Pump mainly includes five aspects: liquid delivery capacity, unit head, liquid property, pipeline layout and operation conditions            

  1. Flow is one of the important performance data of the water pump, which is directly related to the production capacity and transportation capacity of the whole plant. Such as the design institute process design can calculate the pump normal, minimum, maximum three kinds of flow. When selecting the pump, based on the maximum flow rate, considering the normal flow rate, when there is no maximum flow rate, usually 1.1 times of the normal flow rate can be taken as the maximum flow rate.           

  2. The head required by the device system is another important performance data for pump selection. Generally, the head should be selected after enlarging 5% - 10% margin.           

  3. Liquid properties include the name of liquid medium, physical properties, chemical properties and other properties. The physical properties include temperature C, density D, viscosity u, solid particle diameter and gas content in the medium, etc., which involves the head of the system, calculation of effective cavitation allowance and suitable pump type: chemical property, mainly refers to the chemical corrosivity and toxicity of liquid medium, is the selection of pump materials and The important basis for choosing the type of shaft seal.           

  4. The pipeline layout conditions of the device system refer to the liquid feeding height, liquid feeding distance, liquid delivery direction, minimum liquid level at suction side and maximum liquid level at discharge side, as well as pipe specifications and their length, materials, pipe fittings specifications and quantities, so as to calculate comb head and check NPSH.           

  5. There are many operating conditions, such as liquid operation T, saturated steam force P, suction side pressure PS (absolute), discharge side vessel pressure PZ, altitude, ambient temperature, whether the operation is intermittent or continuous, and whether the pump position is fixed or movable.
